I know we can't turn away and ignore it, I know we need to try and stem the tide as best we can, but I'm getting mighty tired of bailing out water as it appears the ship is sinking
January is always a bit of a shock after the holiday season. The first full week of work after a couple four day weeks and vacation time seems to really take it out of you, although I will say those of us lucky enough to be able to work a hybrid schedule have it better than most. Then there are the endless reports, reconciliations, audit confirmations, and questions generated by the end of the 4th quarter as well as the end of the year. Bills for the expenses racked up by presents and activities come due and sometimes those totals are rather eye-opening because we failed to keep track Amd hereabouts, January is when winter weather sets in - so even though our days are now getting longer after the solstice, the darkness seems to weigh more heavily. At least this weekend won't be dedicated to putting all the lovely decorations away, so I'm looking forward to being able to recharge physically and emotionally.
