The news today is just bewildering - school shootings.  A do-nothing Congress.  Political grandstanding of the worst kind

At work:  we were informed today officially that one of our credit analysts has tendered their resignation and that one of our loan officers contracted COVID over the holidays [he's doing okay but staying isolated].  And they are doing fire alarm testing in the building

Oh and there will be a major nor'easter this weekend.  Will we have snow or sleet or just freezing rain this weekend?  Who knows?

It's hard not to go all gloom and doom - I mean even Federation history has 2024 as being pretty grim - but all I can say is that I never want to hear anyone asking  "how Germans could let the Nazis take over" or calling any other country a "banana republic" ever again.

Meanwhile, like so many others, I am just taking it day to day.  There were three of us in the office today, and the EOY reporting is slowly progressing.

I wonder how many people are looking at the calendar and trying to plan vacations as an offset to the end of the holiday down?

Not that I would do that when there is stuff to be done, of course.  Not at all.  Nope not distracted even a little bit while at work.

*coughs*
