So I took today off.  It was a lovely fall day, on the warm side so only a light sweater was quite enough, and smelled of leaves.  So, what did I do?  Set my alarm for 6:30 AM and left the apartment a little after 9AM:
  1. had a bladder and kidney ultra sound - a process that involved drinking 1 1/2 quarts of water and took over an hour
  2. went to have blood drawn for tests [still fasting] and donated three vials plus filled a urine cup
  3. took care of the biannual emissions testing on the car, which apparently I have now had for two years
  4. stopped at the jeweler's, picked up one watch, had a battery replaced, then had to leave another for repair
  5. got my RSV vaccination [noticed the western skies were filled with black clouds while driving there]
  6. sat in a traffic jam where emergency equipment closed three lines of a highway going east and two lanes going west
On the plus side?  between 2 and 3, I stopped at IHOP and treated myself to brunch.  I got home around 3PM, beating the rain by about a half hour.

You know, at some point, I really need to take time off that doesn't involved running around all day doing errands....
