Now and then Bing comes up with a daily wallpaper that just deserves to be shared. This is the Bodie Island Light Station, in Nags Head, North Carolina and is posted in honor of National Lighthouse Day
It was a rough weekend, especially yesterday. I have gotten the chills about what could've happened if those smoke detectors were not working. The smell of the smoke apparently did not disturb me, and I actually had some difficulty coming awake when the alarms penetrated my dream. I remember stumbling about the apartment for almost 20 minutes searching for the source of the smoke in my place, and trying to get Triscuit out from under the bed, before pulling myself together enough to get dressed and call 911. I cannot seem to get any information about the fire, not what caused it nor what is happening with those two men that were taken out on stretchers - I hope they are okay. The smell is slowly dissipating [or I am getting used to it], but maintenance has not responded about fixing my door. No idea why the fireman forced it as they had my keys, but they did and it is warped now. I could've done without the irritations of work today, especially having o chase Triscuit down and get her in the carrier after work to take her back to the vets again because she cannot leave her back and the base of her tail alone. I told the vet I truly don't think it is anxiety, because otherwise, why would the shot to stop itching work so well and she starts bothering it again as soon as the shot wears off? And what is that round circle on her skin? It's not ringworm, but it literally looks as tho it might be the sensor chip. This will be the third trip in - the fist two they blamed the itching on mites and gave me different solutions to use. We can't keep going for an anti-itch steroid shot every six months!
Oh, and I didn't win the fabled billion + MegaMillions either.
So help me, if I could find that fabled chill pill, I would take it!
