In some ways, I can comprehend the dropping of the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima on the grounds that at that time, it wasn't known how devastating such an attack would be. The second bomb was dropped on another civilian population with the full understanding of what was being done.
And so, the United States of America is the only country to have used nuclear weapons to date.
Twice.
Every citizen should bow their heads in shame and silent apology on this sad anniversary.
