Quote of the day:
"Let me love this life as best as I can."
~ Vidyamala Burch, “From Fighting to Flourishing”
Of course the good news is that Monday vibes notwithstanding, there are only four days in this work week.
And, because this is the real world and no good news comes without a stinger, it also means that you are expected to turn out the same amount of work that usually takes five days. And if you can do that? Then why cannot you have three day weekends every week ?
I started my day off being grateful that all I had to do this morning was log in, then found myself dealing with IT problems being encountered in the office. Quite early, I found myself engaging in a televisit from my endocrinologist [if you are losing track of the "ologitsts" I am consulting, this one is for managing blood sutar], which I actually prefer to driving to the office and seeing him in person since all that is really accomplished is to review my progress, or lack thereof, and decide that we should continue with the exact treatments I am getting currently. He, at least, didn't tell me I was old, fat, and out of shape, so that's a good thing.
Still working on EOM/EOQ management reports - and working even harder on being grateful for having a job instead of whining.
