Quote of the day:
"When a man tells you that he got rich through hard work, ask him:  Whose?"
~ Don Marquis, American humorist, journalist, and author

Ah Saturdays - even ones that look like this in the morning.  Today the "cold" front swept through and although the morning was very damp and there was a steady drizzle for a couple of hours, by mid-afternoon, the sunshine was brilliant, although the temperatures were significantly lower.  Tonight temps are forecast in the 40° range, and we'll be sorry the transition from A/C to heat hasn't been done yet

Three day weekends are always so much appreciated, and as callous as it may sound, I really don't care whether it is Columbus Day or Indigenous Peoples Day as long as it is a federal holiday and I get off from work.  Of course I have all kinds of things I can do around the apartment, starting with the laundry, but it is an open question as to how many of these things actually get done

In honor of Cephalopod day, my alt [Bela Martian] graced Second Life, and joined the group being filmed for a story about the build of the Seanchai Library for the fall and Halloween readings by Draxtor.  Bela [beladona Memorial], taking a break from shopping and inventory management, was there as well, and both may show up in the final film - or their portions may end up on the cutting room floor.

Weekends slide by so quickly, reminding us that we work to live, not live to work.....
