~ Paula Arai, “Where Fear and Love Meet”
Everyone in my parent's generation. as well as my grandparents, could tell you exactly where they were on 12.07.1945.
Everyone in my generation, as well as our parents and some grandparents, can tell you where they were on 11.22.1963
Everyone in my kid's generation, as well as my generation and some from the previous generation as well, can tell you where they were 22 years ago, on 09.11.2001
What each of these event had in common is they etched a clear line of demarcation, a before and an after, for all of our lives were irrevocably altered in ways the historians will be busy analyzing for many years.
I wonder and worry about what my granddaughter's generation will face and how it will impact them.
Serious thoughts for a Monday, neh?
