Today was one of those days that started out filled with good intentions which just slowly drained away as the hours flowed away and the chores are postponed.

What do I do on days like today?  well I catch up with the world via emails, social media, and news.  I wander in world and maybe wander about there.   I read.  I do the usual phone call.  And I play games on the computer

Obduction is proving fiendishly difficult - there is no way I could solve these puzzles without walkthroughs - sometimes correlating multiple different examples.  The folks who actually figured these things out were geniuses, that's all I can figure.   

I downloaded Diablo IV because this is the weekend those of us who bought it ahead of time can get in, but alas!  I can't play it because it tells me my graphics card driver [ a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti ] is out-of-date.  Probably is, altho I thought I had it on auto-update, because it doesn't appeared to have updated in three years.  The rub is?  I keep trying to update the driver [I lost count at five times before I gave up] and each time the driver update fails.  This is NOT a good sign for the health of my five year old Acer Predator G6-720.  This has been a great rig and has worked well, but it isn't upgradable, and the graphics card is what it is.  I'll go back to the tech problem solving tomorrow, but I may be faced with either having to start desktop shopping again, or resigning myself to not moving on to the newest and greatest games.  After all, it isn't like I don't have a lot of stuff to play already!  And switching is such a major production.....  and this after I turned away from trading in my three year old iPhone 12 to get an iPhone 14 Pro [ in purple!!! ] because I wanted a camera upgrade [ and it was in purple!!! ] 

*sighs* 

Maybe I'm actually getting old.  Even good eggs do, you know
